How does it work?

We are currently growing sunflowers on two fields on the farm. Our growing field for harvesting (there is no public access to this area) Over 100,000 sunflowers have been planted to cut fresh sunflowers every morning to provide you with an abundance of sunflowers in differing varieties. They will be beautiful and these will be available from the barn each day.

Excitingly, we are having a celebration of sunflowers open to the public behind our barn. If you have visited for pumpkins at Rainfords you will be familiar with our barn field - it is fully enclosed for your little ones to run free and looks out over our growing Christmas tree plantation. We pride ourselves on a mud free, photo worthy experience for the pumpkins and the sunflowers will be no different. No trapsing through muddy fields here! The sunflowers are brought over to you!

Outside on the barn field is where you summer memories are waiting to be made! Say hello to Scarecrow Sally and her pals! There will be a summer maze for you to explore. Scarecrows and hay bales and home grown corn. The corn expecially is perfect for your summer barbeque. There will be plenty of photo opportunities and Insta moments to be had this summer, arches, and frames and even swing!

There's free parking, plus the cafe will be open every day serving sweet treats, cool drinks, ice cream, hot food and iced coffee. The bar will be also be open everyday serving Prosecco and cold beer on tap! The barn shop will be full of sunflowers and seasonal goodies, the floristry vorner will be open all summer. On Friday evenings for the month of August, for the first time you will be be able to see the summer sunset at Rainfords Farm. There will be Live Music, a welcome drink of Pimms or cider and a great time to be had!

Are dogs allowed?

Here is our Dog Policy: We have a designated doggie area adjacent to the barn on the gravel area. There are picnic tables here and you can bring food and drinks out from the cafe. There are doggie backdrops for photo ops. We don't allow dogs in the barn, the cafe area or on the barn field where the sunflowers and pumpkins are. This includes all dogs, however well behaved and regardless of size. We cannot allow it, with the only exception being guide dogs.

Which ticket shall I go for?

Anyone over the age of 18 months needs a ticket.

We are aiming to open the barn doors mid July (around 23rd July) and sunflowers will bloom until early September.

AUGUST DAY TICKET - you choose your date and arrival time slot and then stay as long as you like, daytime tickets are valid until 5pm (with last entry at 4pm)

OPEN DATED TICKET - Visit us any date over the summer (Open dated tickets are limited)

EVENING TICKET - Open from 6pm to 9pm and stay with us until the sun sets over the sunflowers. Welcome drink and free sunflower included!
