Do you need a stand?

Our homegrown Norway Spruce is the traditional Christmas tree choice, with a classic shape, rich green needles and a lovely fresh pine fragrance.

Its needles are sharper and its needle retention is lower than fir varieties, so it is best bought closer to Christmas, kept well watered and positioned away from direct heat.

The size selected is the minimum height; for example, a 5ft tree will measure approximately 5–6ft, measured halfway up the leader.

Size and measuring

The selected size is the minimum height. A 5ft tree will measure between 5ft and 6ft, measured to halfway up the leading shoot. Allow additional room for your stand and topper.

How to care for your tree

Norway Spruce naturally sheds more needles than fir varieties. Place it in a water-holding stand immediately, top up the water every day and keep it well away from radiators, fires and direct sunlight.

Delivery, collection and choosing at the farm

Choose your tree at Rainfords Farm, order for collection or select local home delivery where available. Trees chosen at the farm are freshly cut by our team and netted before you leave.

Please note

This is a traditional needle-drop variety. For the best results, buy it closer to Christmas and keep it consistently watered.
