Rainfords Farm has been cared for by our family for generations. We want the farm to be a place families can enjoy today while helping the land stay healthy for the years ahead.

Working with the seasons

We rotate our crops and do not plant the same thing in the same fields every year. That is why you may not see sunflowers every season: changing what we grow gives the soil time to recover and helps us care for the land responsibly.

Growing our Christmas tree plantation

Our plantation is always growing. We interplant young trees between the larger ones, so new trees can establish while mature trees continue to grow. This helps keep the plantation productive and cared for over the long term.

Giving Christmas trees a useful next chapter

When customers return their real Christmas trees to us for recycling after the festive season, we chip them and spread the material back onto the fields. It helps return organic matter and nutrients to the soil around the trees. Please remove lights, decorations and stands before returning a tree.
