How to Store Firewood at Home
Good storage helps keep your firewood ready to use. It also means you can order a larger quantity with confidence when you have the right space.
Keep logs raised and ventilated
Store firewood off the ground in a dry place with plenty of airflow. A log store with a weatherproof top and open sides is ideal.
Cover the top, not every side
Protect logs from direct rain, but avoid wrapping them tightly in plastic. Trapped moisture and condensation can undo the work that went into drying them.
Plan for delivery access
For barrow bags, bulk bags and pallets, make sure there is a safe place to leave the order and tell us about narrow access, steps, slopes, gravel or other restrictions before delivery.
Still unsure?
